Which Bulgarian e-vignettes can you choose from?
The Bulgarian e-vignette (e-vinetka) is required for vehicles with a maximum permissible mass of up to 3.5 t – passenger cars, vans, minibuses and motorhomes. It applies not only on motorways but also on designated sections of first-, second- and third-class roads outside built-up areas. The vignette exists only in electronic form and is linked to the vehicle’s licence plate, so there is no sticker to put on the windscreen. A trailer needs its own e-vignette if the combined maximum permissible mass of the vehicle and trailer exceeds 3.5 t. Vehicles over 3.5 t pay a distance-based toll instead of a vignette.

What should you know before buying a Bulgarian e-vignette?
For vehicles up to 3.5 t, Bulgarian e-vignettes are available for a weekend, a week, a month, a quarter or a year. The weekend vignette has a fixed window from Friday 12:00 to Sunday 23:59, while the weekly vignette is valid for seven consecutive calendar days from the date you choose. You can buy an e-vignette up to 30 days before it becomes valid and set the start date yourself.
In Bulgaria, staying off motorways is not enough to avoid the vignette – it is also required on many ordinary roads outside towns. Make sure the licence plate and vehicle category are entered correctly, because the e-vignette is tied to the plate and later changes are only possible in limited cases. If you tow a trailer, check whether the combination exceeds 3.5 t. And remember that the e-vignette does not cover every charge: crossing the Danube bridges at Ruse and Vidin to Romania is paid separately.
Validity check and expiry reminders
Before you set off, you can check whether your Bulgarian e-vignette is still valid – on the official Bulgarian toll portal or with the validity check on our website. All you need is the licence plate and the country of registration, so there’s no need to dig out the confirmation from your original order. If you also choose an email reminder when ordering, we’ll let you know when the expiry date is approaching – especially handy with quarterly and annual vignettes, whose end date is easy to forget.
Wide range of payment methods
Pay the way that suits you best: by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, QR code or bank transfer. Every payment is processed in a secure payment environment.
Registration confirmation by email
When your order is complete, we send you a payment confirmation by email. Once your Bulgarian e-vignette has been registered, a registration confirmation follows. Keep both emails – they serve as proof of your order and come in handy if you ever need to check the details of your e-vignette.
